Sources from Underground Television Network claim the format will continue development and a Pilot will be shot as soon as another formidable comic host is cast. UTV’s own Kamary Phillips has stepped up by offering his services. Kamary’s played an instrumental role in the creation of the DONNY RICHARDSON SHOW and though he’s been off the cinematic radar since playing Detective Carrey in Olaf Ittenbach’s 2008 action/horror film, Dard Divorce, the man and the brand Kamary Phillips maintains a dominant presence in the world of independent media and content production.
I had the distinct pleasure to speak with UTV boss Kamary Phillips earlier this morning from his North Hollywood California home.

Why should we care about Donny Richardson?

You know, I’m asking myself the same question. Maybe we shouldn’t. Then again, that’s likely why guys like that are guys like that. As for me, it’s strictly personal now. I gave this Donald guy an opportunity that most aspiring talents would have only with a corporate budget behind them. It’s one thing to throw your chances in the shitter due to an over inflated ego but to insult, disrespect and legally threaten the people GIVING to you is just absurd and unacceptable.

Why continue with something that didn’t work?

I wouldn’t normally. However, this hasn’t NOT worked. Frankly, it hasn’t begun. Essentially the wrong guy was cast to play Donny Richardson, even if his name is really Donald Richardson and as a result of his flakiness and limited vision, some of our time, energy and creation were wasted. It’s not the end, only the beginning. We’re just all really pleased this loser showed his true self days into this project and not months into it. We have to thank him really. THANKS DONALD!

Though I certainly mean it, simply answering with ‘success’ would be a boring answer. So let me break it down for your readers what we at UTV have planned for our next comedic partner(s).
- we will build our comic(s) an entertainment website
- we will create an original web broadcast around them
- we will cross market as guest host on funnybone tv
- we will market exclusive content in existing and future social networks
- we will build a broad, subscriber based audience around our comic(s)
- we will create an audio cd for download and merchandise for sale online and at shows
- we will host weekly streaming performances
There are several other pieces to the puzzle but they are far more creative ideas and warrant some level of discretion before sharing publicly. I’m sure you understand.

No matter. I’m on a mission to make an internet comedy star out of someone who isn’t. And the best part, I’m going to likely keep the character name Donny Richardson, fully in spite of the idiot who threatened me. Imagine his frustration when my character DONNY RICHARDSON is far more successful than himself, who couldn’t step up and take care of business when he had the chance. At this moment, nothing would please me more.

Truth is, people are their own worst enemies many times over and this Donald dude likely has years of self destructive patterns to figure it out. Sadly, many never do and meanwhile everybody else is the bad guy.
